| Put this fantastic piece of history in the corner of your office. Sure to be a conversation starter! This is a Dow Jones / Wall Street Journal ticker tape machine. These ticker tape machines were primarily used in the 1950s-1960s eventually becoming obsolete due to the invention of the computer. The Dow Jones ticker machines were known as "broad tape" tickers since they printed on a 5" wide paper. These ticker tape machines communicated stock quotes, telegrams, cables, and other stock market news. Originally, the Dow Jones ticker tape machine came with a pair of scissors and a clip board on which stock broker would cut a two foot piece of ticker tape.
This particular ticker tape machine is numbered 2491. It comes with an original, hard-to-find roll of ticker tape as seen in the pictures. Also unique to this machine is that it includes over 25 feet of vintage (late 60s-early 70s) printed stock ticker tape filled with news and stock quotes. Some of the headlines:

This Dow Jones ticker tape machine stands about 49” high, 17” wide, and 10” deep. It weighs about 100lbs. Yes, the shipping charge is our standard $5.95. We have no idea if it is in working order. It does not include the original scissors or clipboard. The top glass is fully intact and the most of the parts appear to be intact. The door opens and closes without any problems. The key on the side can be opened with any key or nail file. It has typical wear and tear seen on an item that is over 50 years old. Please see the pictures and contact us if you have any questions.
