This limited edition bronze sculpture by Chris Navarro features the infamous fighting Wall Street bull and bear. The "duality" of the sculpture allows the bull and bear to be flipped over to reveal a new viewpoint. On one side, the bull is winning on top, on the other, the bear is on top. Switch them based on market conditions!
Each bull and bear comes on a very nice wooden base inlaid with leather. This beautiful hallow-cast bronze measures 3.75" x 7.5" x 4" and is individually numbered in a limited edition of just 500 castings. Each sculpture is hand cast by the artist so please allow up to 4-6 weeks for delivery (feel free to contact us for a delivery estimate).
About the Artist Chris Navarro, a rodeo competitor has been sculpting professionally since 1986. He is best known for his large monumental sculptures. "Champion Lane Frost" a 15-ft bull rider is displayed on the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo grounds in Wyoming. "When Champions Meet", a 15-ft saddle bronc rider is placed at the entrance to the Stampede Rodeo Arena in Greeley, Colorado. The "10th Mountain", a 14-ft World War II ski soldier is displayed in Aspen, Colorado. The Colorado State Department Of Agriculture has commissioned Chris to create a 15-ft monument titled "20% Chance Of Flurries" to honor the farmers and ranchers of Colorado. This monument will be placed on the Colorado State University campus. Chris is represented by 10 galleries through-out the country with over 70 pieces on display at the Navarro Gallery and sculpture garden, located in Sedona, Arizona.
His reflections of the West have given Navarro a national following. His limited editions are coveted by collectors across the country.
A book detailing the art of Chris Navarro entitled "Chasing the Wind" is now available. See the book illustrated in Chis' gallery that follows. 'Chris Navarro's book, 'Chasing The Wind', is fun to read, informative and inspirational. I learned about rodeos, Plains Indians and wildlife- all part of the subject matter of Navarro's bronze sculptures. Chris is unveiled as a true artist who knows what he loves and learns how to make it happen. He believes life is art and art is life.'
-Jan McNutt, Editor-in-Chief, Art Revue Magazine
Sculpture doesn't live in a world of flat paint. It glows in the realism of breadth of dimension, shape, form, detail and artist interpretation. Navarro's work seems to breathe. This passion for life is fully explored in Chasing the Wind,
Robert J. Koenke, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, Wildlife Art and Sculpture Forum Magazine.
Some of Chris' works include:
"Eagle Against The Sun" - 10' bronze and stainless steel sculpture of an Eagle in flight
"The Big Bull" - 9' bronze bugling Elk
"Ruff and Tuff '- life size Grizzly cubs
"Partners"- life size boy and his dog on a bench
"Monuments are time consuming efforts. They take months and months to design and create, but the personal satisfaction completion brings is very rewarding. To know they will be standing 'in the sun long after I'm gone for future generations to experience and enjoy is thrilling. Sculpting is what I do for a living, but I don't ever plan on retiring. I've found something I really love to do and I hope people can see that through the work I've done. Because when I fmish a sculpture, it becomes part of me."
"My work has always been intertwined with my life. I think I'm the only one who will limit what I achieve. They say a man needs three things in his life for real happiness: Someone to love, work that is satisfying, and something to hope for. I feel very fortunate to have this and more."
