From one of the rare publicly-owned National Football League (NFL) franchises is a 1997 stock certificate featuring the Green Bay Packer’s logo. Rare find.

The Green Bay Packers are the only publicly owned NFL team that has issued stock. The Packers' ownership group was grandfathered into the current policy that all-but restricts public ownership. The Green Bay Packers issued stock in 1923, 1935, 1950, and 1997. There are about 112,000 shareholders, who have no voting rights and cannot redeem shares for cash. Even though these shares held no intrinsic value, they have become quite valuable as a collectible. To our knowledge, this is the only authentic Green Bay Stock Certificate for sale on the web today.

This particular Green Bay Packers stock certificate is an original dated December 22, 1997.  It is in fantastic condition since it has been in its frame since it has been owned.  This stock certificate comes in a 17.5" x 13.5" brushed metal frame and is double matted in green suede and a gold under-matte.  This item was not framed by BullMarketGifts.  This is the original frame the certificate was placed in so there is some minor wear and scratches.  We decided not to re-frame this piece because, overall, it is in very good condition and is ready to hang.  The stock certificate could easily be removed and re-framed if desired.  There is also a nice engraved metallic plate with the inscription:
