He was President from 1961 until 1969 when he became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer until his retirement in 1981. Since that date he has been Chairman of the bank’s International Advisory Committee. Mr. Rockefeller has also been involved in numerous other business, cultural and educational organizations. Chase Manhattan Corporation merged with J.P. Morgan & Co. in 2000 and is now JP Morgan Chase & Co., one of the largest financial institutions in the world.
