The Templeton Dragon Fund, Inc. (NYSE: TDF) is a closed end growth fund run by Franklin Templeton Investments. The fund invests primarily in China. Franklin Templeton was founded in 1947 and is listed as BEN on the NYSE. BEN was chosen by it founder, Rupert Johnson Sr., as a tribute to Benjamin Franklin whose image is also used as their logo. The closed fund was established in 1994.

This specimen stock certificate is a great collectors piece for anyone holding the fund in their portfolio. Specimen stock certificates are certificates that were archived by printers and the company as perfect examples of the company’s stock issue. Specimen’s can be identified by their “specimen” stamp, stamped holes spelling “specimen”, or they are often issued with a serial number of a series of zeros.
