The Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad Company was founded in 1853 and ran from Buffalo New York Hoboken New Jersey. The railroad suffered from reduced commodities traffic in the 1940's and by 1960 was merged with the Erie Railroad forming the Erie Lackawanna railroad. This certificate features a gorgeous vignette of a steam train in the rail yard, a coal yard, as well as coal mine workers. Issued in the 1950s. Very attractive stock certificate.
