United Artist Theatres Circuit was founded in Maryland in 1926 to purchase movie theatres in association with United Artists which was founded by Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks, Charlie Chaplain, ,and D.W. Griffith. The Theatre Circuit was never part of the United Artist Corporation due to the founders wanting to keep their operations separate. They are now part of Regal Entertainment Group. This temporary United Artists Theatre Circuit, Inc. certificate is dated Feb. of 1962.
