This Abacus Pen Holder was given out by China Nepstar Chain Drugstore Ltd (the largest retail drugstore chain in China) when it opened for trading with the New York Stock Exchange on Nov. 9, 2007. The pen holder is brand new and comes in a box with satin lining. The abacus is wooden with silver in color accents, with the words "Nepstar Drugstore" in front. The box has the words "Nepstar Drugstore" and "China Nepstar Chain Drugstore Ltd." written on the top. Extremely well made. This pen holder is designed after an abacus, an ancient Chinese calculating tool for performing arithmetical processes. Traditionally, Chinese people used abaci to meticulously plan, preserve and enhance wealth. Abacus has become a symbol of fortune in Chinese culture.
