This postcard was sent by Hornblower & Weeks and is post marked 1909 with a 1 cent stamp. Amazing back then it only needed to be addressed to a name and city. The front features their headquarters in the Financial District of Boston on 60 Congress St. The scene features an active Financial District with horse-drawn carriages.
Hornblower & Weeks was founded by Henry Hornblower and John Weeks in 1888. Hornblower & Weeks would become one of the largest members of the New York Stock Exchange with over 90 retail office throughout the world.

The company went through many mergers throughout the 1970s. They eventually merged with Shearson Loeb Rhoades and the Hornblower name was retired. The subsequent firm was purchased by American Express in 1981 to form Shearson/American Express.
