Otis & Co was a small brokerage house that was purchased by E.A. Piece & Co after the stock market crash of 1929. Pierce also acquired the brokerage business of Merrill Lynch in 1930 to become the largest wire house in the United States. E.A. Pierce came into financial hardship in the 30s and partnered with Charles E. Merrill and formed Merrill Lynch, E.A. Pierce & Cassatt in 1940.

At the time Fenner & Beane was the second largest brokerage and their competition. The firms would merge and form Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Beane. So there is a great story of how a little Wall Street Brokerage, Otis & Co, would become part of one of the largest financial conglomerates in the world.

This unissued trade ticket was for use on the NYSE and the Curb exchange in the 1920s. Great condition and has a water marked that can be viewed when held to the light. "Cambrai Bond U.S.A Keith Quality".
