Description

The original Chicago Mercantile Exchange Building was completed in 1928 and was also known as the Butter and Egg Building since the original traders were known as Butter and Egg brokers. The trading floor occupied the second and third floor of the building and trading endured until they moved to their current location in 1985. This authentic advertisement from 1928 is for new tenants stating that they cater only to "responsible, substantial business concerns." Rare and fantastic piece of history.

Framed with archival materials, acid-free matting and UV glass.
