Description

This ultra rare BMW Stock Certificate (Bayerische Motoren Werke) was issued during WWII in 1941 and is from Munchen, Germany. This Preferred Stock was Issue in July 1941 for 1000 RM (Reichschmark). The Reichsmark was only used from 1924 to 1948 when it replaced the German Mark. This BMW Stock Certificate still has 3 dividend coupons (separate sheet).

This gorgeous BMW Specimen Certificate is complete with the BMW shield and security watermarks on the paper. Very rare!

BMW is a worldwide manufacturer of high-performance automobiles and motorcycles, and is the current parent company of both the MINI and Rolls-Royce car brands.

Specimen stock certificates are certificates that were archived by printers and the company as perfect examples of the company’s stock issue. Specimen’s can be identified by their “specimen” stamp, stamped holes spelling “specimen”, or they are often issued with a serial number of a series of zeros. Often, they are also issued with no serial number at all. Specimens can also represent a design that was never issued. All of these attributes make the specimen stock certificate rarer than the issued version of the share. Many enthusiasts collect specimens as a whole new category of Scripophily.
