The Boston and Maine Corporation, also known as The Boston and Maine Railroad was chartered in 1835 and became part of Pan Am Railways in 1983.  In 1910 it was taken over by J.P. Morgan and the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad but J.P. Morgan lost control due to anti-trust laws.  The Boston and Maine Corporation still exists today as part of Pan Am Southern.  Issued in 1968.
