The Central Ohio Railroad was established in 1847.  The Central Ohio was saved out of bankruptcy by the increased traffic of the Civil War.  By 1865 the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad (B&O) had acquired interest in the railroad.    Issued in 1853.  Hand signed.  Certificate features a traveling steam engine on the top and a farmer on the left.
