This rare specimen Chase Manhattan Bank $5,000 Note was from 1968 and printed in the 80s and due in 1993. It's 4 7/8% convertible bond featuring David Rockefeller as Chairman of the Board and Willard Butcher as President. He served as President from 1980 - 1991.

Chase was formed in 1877 and named after former Treasury Secretary, Salmon Portland Chase (1808 - 1873). David Rockefeller served as an officer of the Chase Manhattan Bank from 1946 to 1981. He was President from 1961 until 1969 when he became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer until his retirement in 1981. Since that date he has been Chairman of the bank’s International Advisory Committee. Mr. Rockefeller has also been involved in numerous other business, cultural and educational organizations. Chase Manhattan Corporation merged with J.P. Morgan & Co. in 2000 and is now JP Morgan Chase & Co., one of the largest financial institutions in the world.
