Daimler-Benz AG is headquartered in Stuttgart German and is one of the most respected automotive companies in the world. Daimler-Benz formed as a result of the merger between Benze & Cie and Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft in 1926. All factories began to use the brand Mercedes-Benz on their cars and trucks. The Mercedes brand honored Wilhelm Maybach, the famous designer. During WWII the manufactured German tanks, submarines and aircraft.

It would later be known as Daimler Chrysler after it acquired Chrysler in 1998. Chrysler was later sold to Cerberus Capital Management.
