Marvel Entertainment Group was founded in 1986 and is the parent company of Marvel Comics and Marvel Productions. Marvel has undergone several restructurings and owners over the years as they experienced financial hardship ultimately being sold to The Walt Disney Company in 2009 for over $4 billion. Marvels fate turned as the success of the Spider-Man, X Men and other Marvel comic characters found renewed popularity on the big screen. Most of these amazing characters come from the late great Stan Lee.
