This unique piece features a mini replica of an old New York Stock Exchange Members Seat. We have never seen one these before, but it's pretty cool. The chair is remarkably accurate. It even has the seat number on the back (#119) which amazingly we know belonged to James Watson Cunningham from 1865 - 1871. The only inaccurate part of the chair we can find is the original had a leather seat pad.

Back in the late 1800s NYSE members actually owned a seat where they we able to should their bids and offers. The term "Seat on the Exchange" is still used today to signify a broker/firm's membership to the New York Stock Exchange.

The base is metal, the chair is plastic and includes an authentic strip of ticker tape with ticker symbols and prices. All covered with a glass dome. Great display piece, doubt we will find another!
