This box was created by the Sheridan Silver Company for the Chicago Mercantile Exchange to commemorate the 1972 dedication of their new headquarters. The top of the box is engraved with a picture of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Building and Dedication December 9, 1972. The box is silver plated and has heavy oxidation. The bottom has the Sheridan Silver Co's maker's marks and engraved "silver plated"

The new headquarters was located at 444 W. Jackson Blvd in Chicago until 1982 when it moved to Wacker Drive. Very rare!
