The Hudson River Railroad was formed in 1845.  In 1864 the railroad was bought by Cornelius Vanderbilt.  In 1869 Vanderbilt merged the New York Central with the Hudson River Railroad to form the New York Central and Hudson River Railroad.  Great close up of a steam train engine.  Issued in 1922 to the Onondaga County Savings Bank of Syracuse, NY.  Great piece of NY History. Oversized 13.5" x 9.25".  Hand-signed.
