Description

This rare set of books from George S. Clason was provided by the Canadian War Services Library Council at the beginning of WWII. It was designed to help Canadians save money so they could donate more to the war effort.

Part of the forward by the Chairman: "There are still to many who regard the War as something far off, who read the reports of battles on land and sea and in the air more casually than they do the sporting news. They do not yet realize that our very existence is at stake, that the lying, plundering, murdering beast of Berlin aims to rape, enslave or destroy all the peoples of the world opposed to his lust for power. It is time, high time, we were awake!"

This series of 5 booklets is Clason's famous tale of the Richest Man in Babylon also known as "Gold Ahead". It illustrates financial advice through a series of parables set in ancient Babylon. A must read for anyone interested in personal finance, so much so that it's still in print today.

This rare set is in fantastic condition. Pages and clean and crisp with tight bindings. The booklets are hand number 1-4 on the front and the original owner's signature, Roy A. Beam, is on the inside cover of each book as well as the inside flap of the case.
