Description

This series of laminated posters was created by the NYSE and hung in the New York Stock Exchange to celebrate their 200 year anniversary in 1992. Each poster is 21" x 17" and laminated. This series of posters is a timeline a significant events in the history of the exchange. These posters were actually display in the NYSE so they all have some hanging material still attached on the back. Some also have very minor tack holes in the corners where some were hung. All are in very good displayable condition.

This poster is #14 of the series entitled, "Women at the Financial Front." "After Pearl Harbor was attacked on December 7, 1941, the NYSE promised its "fullest measure of loyalty, support, and cooperation" to the nation. The Wall Street community sold a record of $6.5 billion in war bonds. As men were called to armed services, women went to work on the NYSE trading floor for the first time."
