The Chicago and Eastern Illinois Railway was formed and in 1877 and survived until 1976 when it was bought by the Missouri Pacific Railroad and later the Union Pacific Railroad. This bearer bond from the Chicago and Eastern Illinois Railway Company was issued in 1921 and was due in 1951. Payable in US Gold coin. Hand signed and some coupons still attached.
