This rare trade ticket from 1942 was for 50 shares of the Eastern Malleable company sold from Tifft Brothers to the Hinks Brothers of New Haven, Conn.
Tifft Brothers was founded in Springfield, Mass by Lewis E. Tifft and Charles Tifft. Lewis Tifft, a graduate of Williams College, left the firm to serve in France during WW I. After the war, he returned to the firm. He passed in 1968 and his home was donated to the MacDuffie School.

The Tifft Brothers were member of the New York and Boston Stock Exchanges with offices Torrington and Hartford Connecticut as well as Pittsfield, Springfield, and Worcester Massachusetts.
