This Adventure Consolidated Copper Company stock certificate was issued in 1899 and is hand-signed. The Adventure Mine operated near Greenland, Michigan in the Upper Peninsula from 1898 to 1917. The mine stopped production in 1908 due to low copper prices but picked up again during WW I. The mine produced over 11 million pounds of copper. The mine is one of the best preserved mines today and tours are still available.
