The American Cyanamid Company was founded in 1907 as a manufacturer of agricultural chemicals.  During the 1970's the company employed over 100,000 people and was listed on the NYSE under the symbol ACY.  The company has had several legal issues primarily relating to the Superfund site in Bound Brook New Jersey.  In the 1990's the company spun off many of it's pieces and they exist today as parts of Pfizer, BASF, and Procter and Gamble.  Issued 1970s - 1980s.  $1000 bond due in 2001.
