This Bangor & Aroostook Corporation stock certificate was issued in 1961. The Bangor & Aroostook Railroad was incorporated in 1891 to combine the Bangor and Piscataquis Railroad and the Bangor and Katahdin Iron Works Railway. They brought rail service into northern Maine and were succeeded by the Montreal, Maine and Atlantic Railway.
