This Boston And Albany Railroad Company $1000 Bond was issued in 1913 and is hand signed by the company president. The Boston and Albany Railroad operated from 1833 to 1861 eventually becoming part of the New York Central Railroad. In 1867 a merger brought three existing lines together to form the Boston and Albany Railroad. The line between Boston and Albany was the longest railway at that point in the U.S.
