The Carolina, Clinchfield and Ohio Railway was part of the Clinchfield Railroad holding company.  The line officially started operations in 1924 but dates it's history back to 1886 when Union General John T. Wilder received a charter for the Charleston, Cincinnati and Chicago Railroad.  The company was taken over by the Family Lines System in the 1970's.  Issued in the 1940s - 1950s.  Vignette features a steam engine at the terminal.  Hand signed.
