The Carthage and Burlington Railroad was formed in 1867 to build a rail line from Burlington, IL to connect with the Quincy & Warsaw Railroad in Carthage. Completed in 1870, the line was operated by the Chicago, Burlington, and Quincy Railroad Company.

This is an unissued share from the 1800s. The vignette features a steam engine and cars traveling through a small town with a body of water and sailboats in the background. Excellent detail!
