The Central of Georgia Railway was started in 1833 as the Central Railroad and Canal Company and changed it's name to the Central Railroad and Banking Company in an attempt to attract more investment.  During the Civil War and "Sherman's March to the Sea" much of the track was destroyed creating "Sherman's Neckties" By bending the track in loops.  In 1963 the railroad became part of the Southern Railway.  Issued in 1953.  Vignette features a man with a hammer.
