This Century Food Markets Company Company stock certificate was issued in 1962. Century foods was based out of Youngstown, Ohio and traces its history back to 1917 when a Russian Immigrant opened his first small grocery on Chicago Avenue. His sons expanded the chain and Century Foods Market was founded in 1940. In 1961 the 39 store chain, Century Foods, was bought out by Loblaw Inc of Buffalo.
