The Chicago Terminal Transfer Railroad Company was formed in 1897 and bought the Chicago and Great Western Railroad from the Wisconsin Central Railroad (Soo Line Railroad). The purchase included the Grand Central Station in Chicago. This gave the Chicago Terminal Transfer Railroad control of the terminal. In 1910 the Baltimore & Ohio Terminal Railroad was formed to purchase the Chicago Terminal Transfer Railroad out of foreclosure. Issued in 1898. Hand signed. Features two steam engine vignettes; one traveling under a bridge and other in the the rail yard.
