In 1868 the Columbus, Chicago and Indiana Central Railway was formed with the merger of of the Columbus and Indiana Central and the Chicago and Great Eastern Railway.  The railroad later continued to operate as part of the Pennsylvania Railroad System.  Issued in 1868.  Hand signed and issued.  Vignette features a steam engine at the terminal.  Original 1868 issue receipt attached on the left.
