The Crown Zellerbach Corporation was a pulp and paper company founded in 1882 in San Francisco. Crown Zellerbach was one of the largest paper products producers in the US and became publicly traded in 1928 after they merged with Crown Williamette Paper. They invented the folded paper towel that is used in washrooms and also the cardboard egg carton. Crown Zellerbach was take over in a hostile takeover in 1985 by the James River Corporation which is now part of Georgia-Pacific. This stock certificate was issued in the 1960s.
