The Detroit, Hillsdale and South Western Railroad Company was founded in 1875.  The Rail line ran from Bankers Michigan to Ypsilanti Michigan, a total of about 65 miles.  The railroad was leased in perpetuity to the new York Central in 1881.  Issued in the 1930s.  Hand Signed.  Vignette on the bottom features passenger loading into steam train.
