This Eagle Lock Company Stock Certificate was issued to Thomson, Fenn & Co of Hartford, CT in 1918. It hand-signed by the company president.

The Eagle Lock Company dates back to 1833 and was once the largest trunk and cabinet lock maker in the world. They were based out of Terryville, CT. They grew to over 800 employees during the WWII with major defense contracts and were sold to F. Browser Inc in 1943. The company was once again sold in the 1960s and eventually declared bankruptcy and closed in 1975.
