The Fort Wayne, Cincinnati and Louisville Railroad Co. was formed in 1881 and was consolidated with the New Castle and Rushville Railroad in 1886. The Railroad was bought by The Lake Erie and Western Railroad in 1890 and became part of the Nickel Plate Railroad in 1923. Issued in the 1880s. Fantastic vignette features surveyors laying looking to scout the path for new track with their Native American guides.
