This Greenbrier Smokeless Coal Company Stock Certificate was issued to Secretary Mason Bell as well as signed by him 3 times as well as president JW Bell(?) in 1922. It is certificate #79. Bellburn, West Virginia was name after the Bell family that started the company. Incorporated in West Virginia in 1920, Greenbrier was based out of their namesake Bellburn and operated in the Greenbrier coal district. They owned over a dozen coal mines.
