This Happy Day Mining Company, Limited stock certificate was issued in 1907. The Happy Day Mining Company is part of the Day Mines empire. Founded in 1899 by Eugene R. Day, they owned 155 acres which included the Happy Day, Grey Eagle, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minneapolis, and Snowslide lodes located just north the Day Mine's Inc. Hercules Mine. The mines were largely unproductive and were rolled into Day Mines, Inc. in 1947. Shareholders received 7 shares of Day Mines for each 1,000 shares of the Happy Day.
