Imperial Oil Limited was formed in London Ontario Canada in 1880.  In 1898 Standard Oil of New Jersey purchased a controlling interest in the company and that interest continues today through ExxonMobil's 69% interest.  Imperial Oil is known for its Esso service stations, On the Run and Tiger Express convenience stores.  Imperial is also known for it's holdings in the Alberta Oil Sands as well as sponsoring Hockey Night in Canada in the 1970's.  Issued 1970s.  Incorporated in Canada.  Certificate is in French and English.
