This Iowa Fall & Sioux City Rail Road Company Stock Certificate was issued in 1880 and is hand-signed by the company president. Incorporated in Iowa in 1867, it was formed as a subsidiary of the Dubuque and Sioux City Railroad for the purpose of completing the railroad from Iowa Falls to the Missouri River. Its 184 mile line ran to Storm Lake and was completed in 1870. The company was absorbed by the Dubuque and Sioux City Railroad in 1888.
