Jersey Central Power and Light was founded back in 1862.  The company became part of General Public Utilities (GPU) and then merged to become a subsidiary of First Energy in 2001.  GPU is most famous for being the former owner of  the Three Mile Island Nuclear Plant.  The bond certificate was issued in 1975 and due in 1983.  Vignette features a turbine and powerlines.
