This scarce Kanawha & Michigan Railway Co $1000 Gold Bond was issued in 1890 and is hand-signed by the company president. Charted in 1890 to build a line from Point Pleasant, WV to Charleston, WV. They extended the line to Gauley Bridge in Fayette County in 1893. They became part of the New York Central Railroad in the 1920s.
