Description

This stunning and rare book from 1898 was published by Moses King who celebrated the City of New York and the New York Stock Exchange with a photographic survey to document their history, beauty and chronicle their superiority in business and culture. This rare first edition contains over 1050 amazing illustrations ranging from the previous Presidents of the Exchange to amazing shots of the original NYSE floor. It contains hundreds of photos of stock exchange members, many of who are still recognizable today as firm founders such as J.P. Morgan (J. Piermont Morgan) and Sigmund Lehman (Lehman Brothers).

The illustrations and photographs are extensive and amazing. From an illustration of Trinity Church in 1789, the corner of Wall Street and Broad Street with horse drawn wagons out front, to amazing photos of prominent buildings throughout New York as well as the Exchange itself. Simply stunning. A rare piece of Wall Street history. Oversized book.

We've had several copies of this book over the years. This is by far, the nicest copy we have found.
