Now known as Liggett Group, Liggett & Myers was originally formed by Christopher Foulks in the early 1800's in New Jersey. His tobacco mill was burned by the British Military during the War of 1812. John Liggett entered his Grandfather's business, formed a partnership with George Meyers and incorporated Liggett & Myers in 1873. Liggett is most famous for their Chesterfield brand of cigarettes. The company is now a subsidiary of Vector Group. Issued 1960s - 1970
