The Louisville Bridge Company was financed and founded by the Louisville and Nashville Railroad in the 1860's to build a bridge across the Ohio River between Louisville Kentucky and Clarksville Indiana.  At the time there were no bridges across the Ohio west of Cincinnati.  Issued in the 1870s.  Hand signed by the company president.  Vignette features an active bridge scene with passing ships and paddlewheels.  Louisville, KY.
