The Louisville, Evansville and St. Louis Consolidated Railroad was originally formed in 1882 as the Lousiville, Evansville, and St. Louis Railway.  The railway became part of J.P. Morgan's empire  as the Southern Railway Company in 1900.  Issued in 1889.  Hand signed.  Gorgous vingette of a steam engine being loaded with barrels at the yard.
