This Mack Trucks specimen stock certificate was printed in 1972. The famous big truck manufacturing companying Mack Trucks was founded in Brooklyn, NY in 1900 as the Mack Brothers Company. The Mack Trucks name began in 1922 and is now a subsidiary of Volvo who purchased the company in 2000. This specimen certificate is from 1972 and features an awesome vignette of an early Mack Truck. 7 7/8% and due in 1997.

Mack Trucks was added to the Dow Jones Industrial Average in 1924.

Specimen stock certificates are certificates that were archived by printers and the company as perfect examples of the company’s stock issue. Specimen’s can be identified by their “specimen” stamp, stamped holes spelling “specimen”, or they are often issued with a serial number of a series of zeros. Often, they are also issued with no serial number at all. Specimens can also represent a design that was never issued.
