1778 Zatta Map – Lake Superior Region with Florida & Bahamas Insets

This pre-Revolutionary War regional map from Antonio Zatta’s Atlante Novissimo forms part of John Mitchell’s North American map series. The Lake Superior illustration includes an inset of southern Florida and an antique Bahamas map, offering a rare, high-value piece for collectors, historians, and educators.

These North American maps helped define borders and treaties from the French and Indian War era. Widely regarded as among the most important 18th‑century North American maps, Antonio Zatta maps remain some of the most collectible items today.
